Trenchless

To understand the benifit of trenchless sewer repair, it helps to understand the traditional method of sewer repair.  For many years there was only one option for repairing or replacing a homes sewer mainline, that was by digging a large trench.  This would involve heavy earth moving equipment that would be used to dig a hole three or four feet wide, ten or more feet deep and as long as the section of pipe intended to be replaced.  If there was a tree in the way, it would have to be removed.  Any landscape, concrete walkways and whatever else in the area of sewer excavation would be lost.  After the mainline was repaired the landscape would require a great deal of time and money to restore.  Aside from the loss of a mature tree, the yard could be restored to pre excavation standards.  The down side is for the next few months after, the new grass and other plant life require special attention until they can fend for themselves.

Now that we understand what’s involved in the trenching method, it becomes easier to see why it would be nice not to dig up the whole yard.  Assuming there are no complications that require the sewer to be fully excavated, One Hour Rooter has several less invasive solutions that may be more practical and economical.
